It’s An Amazing World to Experience
The world is a big place to see, explore, and try new things. I recently took another trip to Maui, Hawaii and it was amazing! My family owns a few condo rooms at Maui Kaanapali Villas, where I’ve been going since I was a little girl. This trip I visited a few new places I’ve never been to on the island. This picture was taken at the lookout point off the hwy on our way to the resort. An awesome view of the ocean as far as the eye can see!
The sunsets here are spectacular! I took an evening walk down our beach and captured this image the first night.
One thing I truly enjoyed was hitting up the early morning yoga classes during my stay. The ocean was right beyond our class and you could hear the relaxing sound of the waves crashing the shore. I also enjoyed reading a book with my coffee in the mornings and taking long walks down the beach or a swim in the ocean afterwards.
Another new place I visited was Twin Falls. There were people jumping off the rocks into the deep water. Not something I personally tried, but did make my way out into the water for a swim. The rocks were slimy making my way into the water, but eventually it got deeper & deeper. Perfect for a nice swim! I highly recommend this place for a nice little hike and a swim!
I also tried snorkling in a different area of the island. I’ve snorkled many times in the ocean, but this time I tried it in a calm bay over several reefs at Hanalua Bay. We walked through this gorgeous jungle of lush green to get to the bay. It was truly a sight! Once we got to the bay, we got our snorkle gear on and hit the water. I saw so many tropical fish right off! The farther out I went the more colorful they got too! I also got to see a sea turtle swimming around and then poke its little head out of the water for air. I probably snorkled around the reefs for over an hour. On the way back to shore, just before it got more shallow, I actually saw an octopus! It was a truly amazing site! It circled around a rock for a few seconds before it wrapped itself around the rock and blended right in. My daughters friend was a few feet away inder the water with me and I’m pointing all excited trying to get her attention to look. She got to see it as well! This was such an amazing experience! The 2 things I regret is not having an underwater disposable camera and not going back another day. I highly recommend visiting Hanalua Bay if your ever on Maui. It’s a hidden little gem of a place right off hwy 30.
Now lets talk food & drinks! We went to The Cliff Dive Bar & Grill one night and I got a Mai Tai…..drinks were kinda small but definitely packed a strong punch! I also had some amazing fish tacos made with Mahi Mahi & fresh mango salsa. It was so good! There was some live entertainment with a hula dancer too.
This was an amazing trip and I can’t wait to go back again next year! There is so much more I want to see & do while on the island, including some island hopping at some point!
